Softball Game Preview: Columbus Grove Bulldogs vs. Lincolnview Lancers

Columbus Grove hasn't had much luck against Lincolnview recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Bulldogs will welcome the Lancers at 5:00 p.m.

Columbus Grove is headed into Monday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Wednesday. They lost 7-0 to Miller City.

Columbus Grove saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Breanna Hoffman, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Lincolnview came tearing into Saturday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Aces.

Lincolnview pushed their record up to 13-2 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Columbus Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
