Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Westover's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Westover walked away with it. They enjoyed a cozy 72-55 victory over the West Brunswick Trojans on Tuesday. This was payback for the Wolverines, who suffered an 81-68 loss the last time these two teams met.

It was another big night for Jaeden Jones, who posted 26 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was DeMarious Hall, who earned 13 points.

Westover has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season. This is the second loss in a row for West Brunswick and nudges their season record down to 15-12.

Coming up, Westover will take on Seventy-First at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Seventy-First will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Westover surely won't give up without a fight. West Brunswick does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
