League recap: Winslow overpowering for Deep Creek in past week

AAA Southeastern league recap: 5/14/12

AAA Southeastern's top pitcher this week was Seth Winslow. He won zero games and struck out 12 batters.

After a week in which it went 1-1, Lakeland jumped from 4763 to 4276 in the national rankings, the biggest increase in the league. Lakeland is currently No. 128 in the Virginia state rankings, with an overall record of 6-12.

Oscar Smith continues to give up the least hits to opposing lineups this season, after surrendering only four in the past week. For the entire year, Oscar Smith has given up only 99 base hits.

Drew Mayfield led the league with six hits this week for Deep Creek. He is first in the league with 20 hits this year, and has a .357 batting average.
