Softball Preview: St. Helens Lions vs. Seaside Seagulls
St. Helens has gone a perfect 6-0 against Seaside recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Lions will challenge the Seagulls at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (St. Helens has six straight victories, Seaside has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
St. Helens is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Oregon's top teams: Scappoose, who was ranked 13th at the time (St. Helens was ranked ninth). The Lions walked away with a 5-2 win over the Indians on Thursday.

Eme Curaming spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.
