Volleyball Recap: Merrill Takes a Loss

Merrill suffered their biggest defeat since October 12, 2024 on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Mosinee Indians. The Bluejays haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-21, 25-10.

Grace Reimann paced Merrill's offense, picking up six kills. Reimann got some help from Kaela Clerveaux and her 18 assists. Kendell Klug controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Mosinee was led to victory by Taelyn Jirschele and Kyndal Schlei. Jirschele had ten digs and two aces, while Schlei had four digs and two aces. Jirschele has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

Merrill now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Mosinee, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-1.

Coming up, Merrill will face off against Stevens Point at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Mosinee, they will challenge Oostburg at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
