Volleyball Game Preview: Plato Eagles vs. Willow Springs Bears

Plato is 1-8-1 against Willow Springs since October of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Eagles will challenge the Bears at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Saturday, Plato came up short against Licking and fell 2-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-16.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Willow Springs and Winona had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Bears took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats on Tuesday. Bears fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Wildcats since Tuesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-23, 23-25, 25-19.

Willow Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 17-6-3. As for Plato, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Plato might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Willow Springs in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
