Andy Perez put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in April on Thursday. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). He has become a key player for Mt. St. Michael Academy: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 3-10 otherwise.

Coming up, Perez and Mt. St. Michael Academy will take on Archbishop Stepinac at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Mountaineers haven't beaten the Crusaders recently, having gone 0-5 since May of 2019.
