Recap: Overhills Jaguars vs. Oak Ridge Military Academy Eagles
The Overhills Jaguars's game on Tuesday was all tied up 19-19 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 50-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Oak Ridge Military Academy. While losing is never fun, Overhills can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 340th, while Oak Ridge Military Academy is ranked 65th).
When it comes to explaining why Overhills lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jordan Bryant. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points. Matthew Poston was another key contributor, scoring four points along with 12 rebounds.
Overhills' loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-8. As for Oak Ridge Military Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 26-4.
Overhills will head out on the road to challenge Terry Sanford at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Terry Sanford has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 193 points over their last three contests. Oak Ridge Military Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Oak Hill Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 24th.
