Recap: Millry Wildcats vs. McIntosh Demons
The Millry Wildcats couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a rough 69-33 loss at the hands of McIntosh. Millry was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-10.
McIntosh got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brittney Reed Jr. out in front who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Reed Jr. has scored at least 25% of McIntosh's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dristen Sullivan, who scored 16 points along with 7 assists and 7 rebounds.
Millry's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for McIntosh, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.
Millry will be playing in front of their home fans against Excel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. McIntosh's road trip will continue as they head out to face Orange Beach at 6:30 p.m. on December 1st. Orange Beach is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
