Baseball Recap: Winslow Black Raiders vs. Maine Central Institute Huskies
After low-scoring totals in their previous three contest, Winslow brought some dynamite into their most recent game. Everything went their way against the Maine Central Institute Huskies on Wednesday as they made off with a 21-10 victory. The Black Raiders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Huskies, too.

Benjamin Thomas made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up four earned (and six unearned) runs off three hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.
In other batting news, Winslow let Izaiah Costigan and Broddik Bimpson run wild. Costigan got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs, while Bimpson got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs and one double. Another player making a difference was Jason Feyler, who went 1-for-4 with three runs.
Winslow's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Maine Central Institute, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
