Volleyball Recap: Samueli Academy Picks Up 23rd Straight Win at Home

Samueli Academy had already won six in a row and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the San Gabriel Academy Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in March.

Samueli Academy walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-19, 25-20.

Samueli Academy's victory was their 23rd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-3. As for San Gabriel Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Samueli Academy will head out to face off against Avalon on Friday. After both having extra time off, San Gabriel Academy and Capistrano Valley Christian will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Capistrano Valley Christian will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something San Gabriel Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
