With a playoff win on the line, May River rose to the challenge on Monday. They came out on top against the Brookland-Cayce Bearcats by a score of 6-2. Winning may never get old, but the Sharks sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

The team relied heavily on Trace Mischik, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April.

May River was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Brookland-Cayce only posted a batting average of .107.

May River's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-8. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Brookland-Cayce, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 14 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.
