Softball Recap: Westlake Thunder vs. Spanish Fork Dons

Westlake fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Spanish Fork on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Dons by a score of 7-6. The Thunder just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Brilynn Attebery was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
