After a string of eight wins, Sevastopol's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Kewaunee Storm by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Pioneers have suffered against the Storm since May 13, 2019.

Sevastopol's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-3. As for Kewaunee, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

Looking ahead, Sevastopol will head out to take on Wild Rose at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Pioneers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Kewaunee, they will face off against Algoma at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolves' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Storm's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
