Softball Game Preview: Mingo Central Miners vs. Bluefield Beavers

The Mingo Central Miners will take on the Bluefield Beavers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Bluefield took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Mingo Central, who comes in off a win.

Mingo Central took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Van with a sharp 9-1 victory.

Meanwhile, Bluefield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of PikeView.

Taylor Mabry was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing five bases while going 1-for-4.

Mingo Central's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Bluefield, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
