Basketball Game Preview: Lanier Christian Academy Lightning vs. Johnson Ferry Christian Academy Saints + Official Tickets

The Lanier Christian Academy Lightning and the Johnson Ferry Christian Academy Saints will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Lanier Christian Academy easily dispatched Pinecrest Academy on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Lightning fell just short of Drew Charter by a score of 46-43 on Saturday.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Ellianna Clark, who shot 42% from the field en route to 10 points in addition to five boards and five steals. Sydney Harmon was another key player, putting up seven points.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Johnson Ferry Christian Academy against Cherokee Christian on Tuesday as the team secured a 51-21 victory. The Saints have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 22 points or more this season.

Johnson Ferry Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Lanier Christian Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4.

Lanier Christian Academy strolled past Johnson Ferry Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a score of 49-30. Will the Lightning repeat their success, or do the Saints have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
