Baseball Game Preview: Logan-Magnolia Panthers vs. Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders

The Logan-Magnolia Panthers will face off against the Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Logan-Magnolia comes in on seven and Coon Rapids-Bayard on nine.

Logan-Magnolia's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Woodbine 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted since May 31, 2024.

Newell-Fonda typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Coon Rapids-Bayard proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Mustangs. The game was the first time the Crusaders have beaten the Mustangs on their field since July 8, 2020.

Coon Rapids-Bayard pushed their record up to 25-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Logan-Magnolia, their win bumped their record up to 20-5.

Logan-Magnolia skirted past Coon Rapids-Bayard 4-3 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Crusaders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
