Brooklyn piles up the points against Medina Christian Academy

Recap: Brooklyn Hurricanes vs. Medina Christian Academy Knights

The Brooklyn Hurricanes scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Medina Christian Academy 67-26 at home. The win was just what Brooklyn needed coming off of a 59-28 loss in their prior game.

Ashlyn Dyson was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 46 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it ten consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Brooklyn's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Nieves, who scored 12 points along with four steals.

Despite the loss, Medina Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Ashley Conwill dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. That was a full 42.3% of Medina Christian Academy's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Ann Sems was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds.

Brooklyn has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-14 record this season. As for Medina Christian Academy, they now have a losing record at 7-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brooklyn won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Fairview at 6:00 p.m. on February 7th. Brooklyn is facing Fairview at the right time seeing as Fairview is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Medina Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Oberlin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
