Soccer Recap: Port Charlotte Comes Up Short

Port Charlotte lost against Cape Coral back in February of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Pirates fell just short of the Seahawks by a score of 2-1. Port Charlotte have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Port Charlotte's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Cape Coral, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Port Charlotte will head out to face off against Venice at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Venice's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Port Charlotte's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Cape Coral, they are taking a road trip to challenge Fort Myers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
