Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Harper Wilson and Isabella Mcclinton Lead Cherokee Trail to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mullen, Cherokee Trail was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Chatfield Chargers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Cougars have posted against the Chargers since October 27, 2018.

While Cherokee Trail won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-19, 25-19.

Cherokee Trail was led to victory by Isabella McClinton and Harper Wilson. McClinton had six digs and three aces, while Wilson had eight digs and one assist. That's the most digs Wilson has posted since back in September.

Despite the loss, Chatfield still got an impressive performance from Megan Morrissey, who had 11 digs and two aces. Morrissey has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last seven times she's played.

Cherokee Trail has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Chatfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-9.

Cherokee Trail wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Ponderosa on the 24th. As for Chatfield, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Fruita Monument on the 24th.
