Basketball Game Preview: Carver Vo-Tech Bears vs. Poly Engineers

Carver Vo-Tech is 0-4 against Poly since January of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Bears will be home for the holidays to greet the Engineers at 5:15 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Carver Vo-Tech didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Dulaney, but they still walked away with a 40-35 win.

Carver Vo-Tech relied on the efforts of Tyjuan Savage, who shot 46% from the field to rack up 16 points and five assists, and Mario Glenn, who went 6-for-13 en route to 15 points and six boards. Savage's big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Wayne Wheeler, who posted no points in addition to nine rebounds and five blocks.

Meanwhile, Poly blew past Kenwood, posting a 65-37 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Engineers.

Poly's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Carver Vo-Tech, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
