Softball Game Preview: Poly Bears vs. Hemet Bulldogs

The Poly Bears will face off against the Hemet Bulldogs at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Poly 3, Hemet 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Poly's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Thursday's struggle, when Liberty hitters got past them. The Bears lost 13-3 to the Bison on Thursday. The Bears' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Katelyn Cortez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Meanwhile, Hemet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Liberty.

Hemet's loss dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Poly, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-7-1.

Everything went Poly's way against Hemet when the teams last played on April 10th, as Poly made off with a 15-1 victory. Will the Bears repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
