Basketball Game Preview: Evans Knights vs. Horse Creek Academy Stallions + Official Tickets

The Evans Knights will take on the Horse Creek Academy Stallions in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Evans knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Horse Creek Academy likes a good challenge.

On Tuesday, Evans was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 63-59 to Thomson. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (55), the Knights still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Horse Creek Academy put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Calhoun County 70-52. While the Stallions didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Horse Creek Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Evans, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Everything came up roses for Evans against Horse Creek Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2023, as the squad secured an 85-20 win. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Stallions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
