Recap: Animas Panthers vs. Logan Longhorns
On Friday, Animas came up short against Logan and fell 43-34.
Animas' loss came despite strong showings from Madisyn Rainer and Sofia Martinez. Rainer scored seven points along with ten rebounds, while Martinez scored nine points along with five steals. Martinez continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
Animas' defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Logan, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
Animas won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Reserve at 2:00 p.m. on January 20th. Reserve will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Logan won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Fort Sumner/House at 8:00 a.m. on January 20th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Mexico (Fort Sumner/House is ranked 33rd, while Logan is ranked 43rd).
