Baseball Game Preview: Nipomo Titans vs. Santa Ynez Pirates

For the second straight game, Nipomo will face off against Santa Ynez. The Titans will head out to square off against the Pirates at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Nipomo is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Santa Ynez hit Nipomo with a five-run third inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Titans took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pirates.

For Santa Ynez's part, they got a big performance out of David Aquistapace, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs Aquistapace has posted since back in March. Ben Flores was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Nipomo's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Santa Ynez, the win got them back to even at 9-9.
