It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Athens can now relate to. They fell 49-39 to the Hartselle Tigers on Monday. The match marked the Golden Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Athens has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 17-9 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points per game. As for Hartselle, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-16.

As of now, neither Athens nor Hartselle have any future games scheduled.
