Basketball Recap: Jasean Knox's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Rowe-Clark over Comer

After flying high against ITW David Speer Academy last Wednesday, Rowe-Clark came back down to earth. The Rowe-Clark Masai Lions fell to the Comer Catamounts 49-44. The Masai Lions have struggled against the Catamounts recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Rowe-Clark's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jasean Knox, who posted 13 points and seven rebounds. Marcus Fossett was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards.

Even though they lost, Rowe-Clark smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Rowe-Clark's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-7. As for Comer, with the win, they broke their nine-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-15.

Rowe-Clark has already played their next game (against Rauner), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Comer will host Bulls College Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Comer is facing Bulls College Prep at the right time seeing as Bulls College Prep is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
