Basketball Recap: Sierra Vista Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Aiden Reed and Jayvion Wall

Sierra Vista's tournament run continued when they took on Fernley on Saturday. The Mountain Lions fell 59-51 to the Vaqueros. The loss was the Mountain Lions' first of the season.

Jayvion Wall and Aiden Reed certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Wall posted 20 points, while Reed scored 14 points in addition to eight boards and four blocks. That was a full 39.2% of Sierra Vista's points, marking the third time in a row Wall has had more than a third of the team's points. Tristin Porter was another key player, putting up eight points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Sierra Vista fell to 3-1. As for Fernley, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Sierra Vista has already played their next game, a 43-32 victory against Somerset Sky Pointe on the 6th. As for Fernley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 66-63 defeat against Mojave on the 6th.
