Volleyball Recap: Minot North Falls to Bismarck in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Minot North had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Bismarck Demons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Minot North of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

While Minot North was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-19, 25-20.

Bismarck was led to victory by Aspen Roaldson and Rosalyn Brunelle. Roaldson had 28 assists and 13 digs, while Brunelle had 17 kills, 12 digs, and one block. Those 17 kills gave Brunelle a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alannah Kemmis, who had 17 digs and five assists.

Bismarck pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Bismarck will take on Legacy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Minot North will be paying especially close attention to Bismarck's contest: after Bismarck faces off against Legacy, they'll take on Minot North again at 7:00 p.m. on October 14.
