Basketball Recap: McClintock Chargers vs. Central Bobcats
If McClintock was feeling good fresh off their 73-44 takedown of Fairfax last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The McClintock Chargers were dealt an 85-46 defeat at the hands of the Central Bobcats on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 80-51 back in January.

McClintock lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Joshua Mcmanaway, who went 7-for-12 en route to 19 points and six rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last seven games he's played. Kyler Frye was another key player, going 5-for-12 on his way to 13 points and eight assists.
John Mattingly was his usual excellent self, going 10-for-19 to rack up 27 points in addition to six boards and five steals for Central. Another player making a difference was Dominic Rojas, who went 8-for-10 en route to 20 points and four steals.
McClintock's record is now 10-13. As for Central, the win was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 24-2.
McClintock has already played their next contest, a 91-33 victory against Metro Tech on the 11th. As for Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 73-67 loss against O'Connor on the 19th.
