You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Crossroads Christian's strategy against Cape Fear Christian Academy on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Crossroads Christian Colts blew the Cape Fear Christian Academy Eagles out of the water with a 56-27 final score. The Colts have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 20 points or more this season.

Glenna McLamb and Hailey Wangelin certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. McLamb posted eight points and seven rebounds, while Wangelin had four points. That's the most boards McLamb has posted since back in January of 2024.

The win was the fourth in a row for Crossroads Christian, bringing their record for this year to 9-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26 points. As for Cape Fear Christian Academy, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-10.

Coincidentally, Crossroads Christian and Cape Fear Christian Academy will both be playing Lee Christian the next time they take the court. Crossroads Christian will host Lee Christian at 5:30 p.m. on January 24th, while Cape Fear Christian Academy will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on January 28th.
