Softball Recap: Bellows Falls Comes Up Short

Bellows Falls dropped their record down to 13-6 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 10-1 to the Oxbow Olympians. The Terriers lost against the Olympians in their previous head to head back in June of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 37-2 score last time.

As for Oxbow, the win keeps they at an undefeated 16-0. The result was nothing new for the Olympians, who have now won 14 games by nine runs or more so far this season.

For Oxbow's part, Anastase Bourgeois spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 13 Ks. Bourgeois has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 12 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Mazie Bourgeois was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last four games she's played. Noemi Rosa was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

As of now, neither Bellows Falls nor Oxbow have any future games scheduled.
