Basketball Game Preview: Valley Christian Trojans vs. Chaparral Wolverines

Valley Christian is on a 13-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Chaparral is on a six-game streak of away wins (also dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Trojans will be home for the holidays to greet the Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Valley Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Chaparral likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, Valley Christian beat Yuma Catholic 79-70.

Meanwhile, Chaparral strolled past Grandview with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 64-50. Given the Wolverines' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked second, while the Wolves are ranked 47th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Valley Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Chaparral, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.
