Festus barely beat Hillsboro the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers' defense stepped up to hand the Hawks a 3-0 shutout on Friday. Considering Festus have won ten contests by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Festus pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three matches. As for Hillsboro, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-10.

Looking ahead, Festus will take on University City at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Festus will be up against University City's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.67 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Hillsboro, they will head out on the road to challenge Bayless at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
