Basketball Game Recap: Cocoa Beach Minutemen vs. Odyssey Charter School Titans

Even though the Odyssey Charter School Titans scored an imposing 69 points on Thursday, the Cocoa Beach Minutemen still came out on top. Cocoa Beach skirted past Odyssey Charter School 72-69. That's another feather in the cap for Cocoa Beach, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Cocoa Beach got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jay Matthews out in front who scored 23 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Matthews has scored at least 25% of Cocoa Beach's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Louis, who scored 15 points along with 7 rebounds.

Cocoa Beach's win bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Odyssey Charter School, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
