Basketball Game Preview: Lake Region Thunder vs. Eustis Panthers

The Lake Region Thunder will challenge the Eustis Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Lake Region heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Thursday. They fell 63-53 to Bishop Moore. While losing is never fun, the Thunder can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 216th, while the Hornets are ranked 84th).

Meanwhile, Eustis entered their tilt with Hernando on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They claimed a resounding 51-18 win over the Leopards. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Eustis' victory bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Lake Region, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.
