Football Recap: Santana's Undefeated Season over After Four Games + How To Watch

After flying high against Hilltop last Friday, Santana came back down to earth. The Sultans came up short against the Olympian Eagles on Friday, falling 35-9. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Sultans, who until this match were averaging 12.25 points allowed.

Ethan Miller threw for 120 yards and one TD. Denton Goar was his top target, picking up 58 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Julian Mayers rushed for 58 yards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Olympian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jayden Fuentes, who threw for 189 yards and four touchdowns. Fuentes has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played. Walter Ignacio helped Fuentes out on the ground, picking up 50 receiving yards and a pair of scores, while also rushing for 53 yards on only six carries.

Having lost for the first time this season, Santana fell to 3-1. As for Olympian, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Santana will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Fallbrook at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. The Sultans will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 41 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Olympian, they have already played their next contest, a 38-9 win against Chula Vista on the 19th.
