Volleyball Recap: Valor Christian Falls Short Against Ranked Fossil Ridge

Valor Christian faced Fossil Ridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Eagles came up short against the SaberCats, falling 3-0.

Reed Fisk paced Valor Christian's offense, picking up eight kills. Fisk got some help from Darren Wright and his 18 assists. Finally, Fisk was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Valor Christian's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Fossil Ridge, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 13-4.

Valor Christian has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Discovery Canyon on the 12th. As for Fossil Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Grandview on the 12th.
