Softball Recap: King's Academy Lions vs. Bearden Bulldogs
King's Academy lost against Bearden back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The King's Academy Lions lost 18-6 to the Bearden Bulldogs. King's Academy has not had much luck with Bearden recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
For Bearden's part, Rylee Sieber made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Sieber has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive pitching appearances. Sieber was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
