League recap: Seven Rivers Christian stuns Central Florida Christian Academy in upset

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Seven Rivers Christian, who took down 552nd ranked Central Florida Christian Academy, 42-35. John Iwaniec ran for 406 yards in the win.

The Warriors were the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fifth in Sunshine State - North. Earlier in the week, Seven Rivers Christian triumphed over the Eagles 42-35.

First Academy's dynamic duo of David Elliott and Dalton Thomas proved tough for Windermere Prep to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Elliott threw for seven yards and Thomas had seven yards receiving. Caleb Punt helped First Academy's passing attack out by catching one ball for two yards.

5-foot-8 quarterback Trevor Smith of Ocala Christian is the league leader in passing yards this season with 610. He has also thrown six touchdowns. On the ground, Paul Roher's team's Iwaniec has rushed for 1753 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Elisha Jordan. The Central Florida Christian Academy star has 16 catches for 312 yards.

The Eagles' Byron Masoline is a mere 55 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. In 83 carries Masoline has accumulated 945 yard this year.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Ocala Christian takes on First Academy. Jason Zimmerman's team is in third place, while Sheldon Walker's team is in first place.

The Eagles extended the longest winning streak in Sunshine State - North this week by beating the Lakers, 36-30. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
