Recap: McLaurin Tigers vs. Mize Bulldogs
The McLaurin Tigers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They strolled past Mize with points to spare, taking the game 67-53. Winning may never get old, but McLaurin sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Michael Wallace was his usual excellent self, scoring 29 points along with six rebounds and six steals. That makes it 15 consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of McLaurin's points. Kendell Clark was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
McLaurin's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Mize, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McLaurin will face off against Collins at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Collins is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.1 points per game. Mize will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sacred Heart at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
