Recap: Monroe Hornets vs. Preble Shawnee Arrows
The Monroe Hornets won the last time they faced the Preble Shawnee Arrows, and things went their way on Saturday too. Monroe snuck past Preble Shawnee with a 31-27 victory.
Loss or not, Preble Shawnee got some senior leadership from Ashleigh Mondello-garrett and Isabella Agee. Mondello-garrett scored three points along with six rebounds and six steals, while Agee. scored eight points along with six rebounds. Mondello-garrett hasn't dropped below two steals for 14 straight games.
The win got Monroe back to even at 11-11. As for Preble Shawnee, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.
Monroe will square off against Turpin at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Turpin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Saturday. Preble Shawnee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
