            Purnell Swett and Gray's Creek are an even 5-5 against one another  since February of 2016, but likely not for long. Purnell Swett will square off against Gray's Creek at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Purnell Swett will be strutting in after a  win while Gray's Creek will be coming in after a  loss.
Purnell Swett's pitching crew heads into the  matchup  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Seventy-First with a sharp  10-0 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Rams considering their two-run performance the  game before.

 Conley Jacobs was a standout: he scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Those  two  stolen bases gave  him a new career-high.  Chandon Sanderson was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
 Purnell Swett  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Seventy-First only posted  an  OBP of  .118.
Meanwhile, Gray's Creek suffered their biggest  defeat since February 24th on Tuesday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (8-1), but sadly  the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They haven't had much luck with the Colts recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.
 Gray's Creek saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Davis Reed, who  went 2-for-3 with one  double.
 Gray's Creek's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Purnell Swett,  the  win also got them back to even at 6-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp  on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Purnell Swett has been swiping bases left and right this season,  having  averaged 3.2  stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Gray's Creek struggles in that department as   they've been averaging  an even more impressive 3  stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
 Purnell Swett couldn't quite get it done against Gray's Creek in their previous matchup  on March 4th as they fell  15-10. Can Purnell Swett avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
