Volleyball Recap: Cypress Springs Gets the Win

Cypress Springs's tournament run continued when they took on Freeman on Friday. The Panthers narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Golden Eagles 2-1.

Jayla Malone paced Cypress Springs' offense, picking up ten kills. Malone got some help from Alyssa Suarez and her 12 assists. Finally, London Roche kept Cypress Springs' defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Cypress Springs' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Freeman, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Cypress Springs' road trip will continue as they head out to face Klein at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Freeman, they will be taking part in a tournament against Cy-Fair at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
