Basketball Recap: Brandon Comes Up Short

After soaring to 57 points the game before, Brandon was a bit more limited in their matchup on Wednesday. They were outmatched by the North Branch Broncos and fell 61-21. The Blackhawks have struggled against the Broncos recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Several Blackhawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Maddie Heverly, who posted four points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Heverly a new career-high in assists (four). Ella Rizzo was another key player, putting up seven points and six steals.

Brandon's loss dropped their record down to 2-19. As for North Branch, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-12.

Looking ahead, Brandon will be taking part in a tournament against Linden at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North Branch, they will challenge Almont at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
