Softball Recap: Siegel Takes a Loss

Siegel entered their matchup against Blackman on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Stars took a 14-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blaze. The Stars' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Elizabeth Silva and Lauren Fuss did some serious damage despite the final result: Silva went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Fuss scored four runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Those hits marked the first that Silva got this season. Another player making a difference was Rylee Miller, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Siegel's loss dropped their record down to 8-7-1. As for Blackman, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 8-6.

Coming up, Siegel will host Rockvale at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Blackman, they will head out on the road to face off against Community at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
