Middletown extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 3-5 in the process. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chariho Chargers. On Chariho's side, Adam Carpenter was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Carpenter has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
