Recap: Rockwell Marshals vs. Dugway Mustangs
The Rockwell Marshals scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by Dugway on the road to the tune of 97-31. Rockwell has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 29 points or more this season.
Rockwell was led to victory by Luke Henderson and Roman Haueter. Henderson dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds, while Haueter dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 assists. Haueter continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Tony Nguyen was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
When it comes to explaining why Dugway lost, one person who can't be blamed is Trevor Johnson. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Johnson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Hazen Bullcreek, who scored six points.
The win (which was Rockwell's eighth in a row) raised their record to 11-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.8 points per game. As for Dugway, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rockwell will take on Freedom Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Freedom Prep Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Dugway, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Mount Vernon at 6:00 p.m.
