Softball Recap: 17 Straight Home Victories for Trenton

After only one run in their last game, Trenton made sure to put some runs up on the board against North Marion on Thursday. The Trenton Tigers were the clear victor by a 13-1 margin over the North Marion Colts. The contest marked the Tigers' most dominant win of the season so far.

MacKenzie Fisher made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Fisher was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Makenna Young was a standout: she scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Payton Campbell was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.

Trenton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Trenton's victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for North Marion, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Looking ahead, Trenton will square off against Wewahitchka at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Trenton's pitching crew has only allowed 1.6 runs per game this season, so Wewahitchka's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for North Marion, they will challenge Suwannee at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
