Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Aranya Alexander and Natalie Doan Lead Mount Dora Christian Academy to Victory

Mount Dora Christian Academy hadn't done well against Eustis recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Everything went the Mount Dora Christian Academy Bulldogs' way against the Eustis Panthers as the Mount Dora Christian Academy Bulldogs made off with a 51-27 victory. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 21 points or more this season.

Leading Mount Dora Christian Academy to victory were Natalie Doan and Aranya Alexander. Doan went 6 for 12 on her way to 16 points in addition to six assists and five boards, while Alexander went 6 of 15 on her way to 17 points and six assists. That's the most assists Alexander has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Cassi Monn, who posted six points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.

Mount Dora Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Eustis, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-3.

Mount Dora Christian Academy and Eustis should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Mount Dora Christian Academy (ranked 102nd) will meet Umatilla (ranked 229th) at 6:00 p.m. on January 7th. Similarly, Eustis (ranked 172nd) will meet Mount Dora (ranked 563rd) at 6:00 p.m. on January 9th.
